Our Palm 45-6 battery is designed for engine cranking. This battery is maintenance free and does not require checking electrolyte levels. Maintenance free batteries are made with calcium alloys which drastically reduce electrolyte loss. To maximize a batteries life, use a battery maintainer or disconnect the negative terminal when the battery will not be used for extended periods of time.
