Our Palm 8D-14 battery is designed for engine cranking, reserve power, and cycling. This battery is maintenance free but does require checking electrolyte levels if the battery is being cycled. To maximize a batteries life, use a battery maintainer or disconnect the negative terminal when the battery will not be used for extended periods of time.
